Hitch, Inc. is an online marketplace that facilitates peer-to-peer services, allowing users to rent out their utility trailers, indoor/outdoor power tools and other equipment in real time from any connected device.
Founder
Nicholas Paraskevopoulos
Nicholas Paraskevopoulos is a licensed contractor and owner of NC Millwork, Inc in Sacramento. He has worked in the carpentry industry for 11 years with experience in residential and commercial cabinetry. Nick began in a residential cabinetry shop and eventually joined the Carpenters Union before opening his own business in 2020. As a contractor, Nick acquires many tools that are used infrequently. He began to think of ways to get the most out of these tools which led to the idea of Hitch, Inc.
Problem Statement
Many individuals come across the need for equipment tool rental whether they’re professionals or a DIY-er. However, the process of locating a reputable equipment rental company can be time-consuming, difficult and costly. Today’s tool rental companies often come with the challenges of time limit constraints, lack of availability and affordability. This is especially problematic in cases of emergencies, such as a plumbing issue or a downed tree, when quick access to equipment is critical.
Solution Statement
Our two-pronged solution is simple. 1. Provide a platform that enables users the opportunity to earn extra income by renting out their high-dollar power equipment and 2. Provide easy access to a wide range of equipment options to those in need.
Our Big Idea
Our aim is to establish the Hitch, Inc. app as the preferred equipment rental platform and streamline the rental process.
